Ugh, Clamp. While this series is not excessively frilly it’s extremely girly girl. The story is slow moving and ends all happily so you can relax. As usual half the story is not explained and characters from other series all make incomprehensible cameos. It’s all right if you like Clamp and not much happening except lots of singing and crying and getting the shit beat out of you by stuffed animals.

For a while I was on a mystery kick there and I ended up reading this horribly drawn piece of crap. I guess it could be worse, at least its not a moe moe school story, though I am not sure how any of the crappy looking characters can be moe moe or even faintly human looking. Out of all the mystery manga I have read this is pretty much bottom of the barrel. Oh yeah its about a kid who flunked out of MIT then went back to highschool in japan. UHHHH OK. The mysteries are pretty generic and not very interesting. Overall, terrible.
OK so I first caught the live drama on Hulu for this and thought it was amusing, though only a few episodes are out. Basically its about a guy who can see bacteria as cute thingies that talk and he goes to a university that specializes in agriculture where people are like wow that’s awesome now lets brew some sake. The show is pretty cute with some pretty decent CGI but with the usual Japanese ham acting.
The manga and the anime follow each other pretty closely where the live drama does not. My hopes were dashed as the show went on since its really just not very interesting… It’s different, at least. But really, NOTHING HAPPENS.
Firstly let me say that I despise the art style of this series, its creepy and gross. Every one has weirdly sloping eyes and pointy ass noses. Second thing I hate is the terrible spoken foreign languages, the badly pronounced English sends chill down my spine, gaaaah. Usually this is fine in passing but for this show it just goes on and on.
The series itself is pretty interesting in that sports kind of way with a lot of strategy, it reminds me of Slam Dunk which is one of my favorites and not ridiculously silly like Prince of Tennis. Make no mistake, this show is about soccer. Soccer played by old people, who suck. It’s pretty good.
I have been occasionally watching/reading this series off and on for a year now. It is a never ending, completely non-sensical show where nothing ever happens, and its hilariously self aware with much parodying and referencing other anime and pop culture items.
The story is about a poor boy who kidnaps a rich tsundere girl and ends up being her butler, and all the moe moe girl harem he then accumulates in the next fifty million episodes. The moe moe drawing style is kind of annoying, but forgivable for this gag type story.
